Review: “Stephan Amenta plays this lover boy with full abandon, which endears us to his silly, fickle character who pictures himself a sex god…” - MV Times
MV Playhouse Monday Night Special
Sid and Howard by Marc Kirkeby
Directed by Scott Barrow
With Stephan Amenta, Scott Barrow, Marc Carver, Molly Purves
An antic, razor-sharp comedy that imagines a could-have-been meeting of terror-meister H.P. Lovecraft, New Yorker wit S.J. Perelman, and the mystery woman who changed Lovecraft’s life, in 1920s Providence, the Paris of the Seekonk. While respecting the historical record, the play cheerfully throws in whatever else comes to hand, past or present. No kitchen sinks will be harmed.

New Musical Workshop!
I’m excited to spend the next month workshopping Karl Hinze’s Dress Rehearsal For The Christmas Vigil At The Church Of The Sacred Redeemer
About the play: “Following a recent bombing at a nearby mosque, the three church choirs of Sacred Redeemer in Appleton, WI are being forced to merge for one big Christmas service (in the name of “unity”)—a sure recipe for disaster. As the rehearsal wears on, the police hunt for the mosque bomber heats up, and crises of faith from outside the church walls start to squeeze their way in. In this play, told through flashbacks and original music, the choir members must grapple with their own understandings of community, identity, responsibility, and faith.”

Returning to the Williamstown Theatre Festival!
WTF! I'm returning to the Berkshires to star in Samuel Hunter's A Great Wilderness, as Daniel, a frail, intimidated, quick witted gay teen sent to a conversion therapy camp in Idaho.
Reviews: "... a touching and affecting Stephan Amenta... You sense in Amenta's Daniel the fragility of a trusting youth who is bewildered, afraid, made timid and cautious by a young life marked by rejection and disgust from others" - The Berkshire Eagle
